Meadows Festival Shinty returns in 2024!

Shinty will feature all weekend at the 2024 Meadows Festival on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June.

There will be Men’s and Women’s full major league matches involving local sides, as well as Primary and High School Trophy competitions, come and try, fun shinty challenges for everyone, community shinty and an information stall. Plus the usual Festival music stages, hundreds of stalls, and other activities.

Meadows Festival Shinty 2017

Training Sessions 2024

All training sessions have now resumed. Regular training times are as follows:

Saturday open sessions on the Meadows at 10.30/11.30 am

10.30 – 11.25   Development (P1-3, and newer players) and P4/5
11.30 – 12.30   P6/7 and High School

Friday sessions in Pilrig Park for Gaelic-medium kids, 12.40-1.40 pm, P3-P6

 

Active Schools Sessions

Wednesday, on-campus at James Gillespie’s High School
P4-S2 open, from 4 – 5pm
p4-S2 Girls, from 5 – 6pm.

 

Fixtures…

Central Scotland and other fixtures take place year-round at both primary and secondary level.
